Period Look – Small Bathroom – a practical working solution that really works?

I receive so many enquiries from people who want a period look ‘roll top bath’ in a typical, small UK bathroom. More often than not the bathroom is simply not big enough to accommodate a full sized bath, however we can offer a solution….

A classic roll top bath is not designed to be installed without a clear gap \ between the back and ends of the bath. This gap needs to be wide enough to allow for cleaning and big enough to look right. Right is a visual thing that doesn’t work if the roll top bath is squeezed into a space that’s not big enough. It needs to add value doesn’t it?

We have a solution that provides a full size roll top bath with upstands on x2 sides that allow the bath to be fitted up against two tiled walls, eliminating the gap.  This delivers the period look and style that meets the need and works in a very small space but typical UK bathroom. A further major plus is that he bath can now accommodate an over bath shower using a modern folding glass screen or 360 degree period style shower curtain.

Jaki is the proud owner of the new bathroom shown above – she says ‘

Steve helped us to create a beautiful period bathroom in our cottage. He helped us to create more space in our small bathroom, making a bespoke vanity unit for under the sink. My new bathroom is Fab, I love it!!’

In addition to the bath Jakki had another problem, her bathroom only has limited space for a basin and she desperately needed some storage space. You will see that her new bathroom has a classic London basin installed with storage unit under. The London basin is NOT designed to be used over furniture but over a pedestal. As you can see this bespoke solution appears to work rather well.
