The Aqualisa Rise Shower
I recently had the pleasure of fitting a shower room into the home of a retired teacher in Nottingham. I took the opportunity of installing the formidable Aqualisa Rise shower…
Betty is a retired teacher and was very clear what she wanted from her new shower room. As she had just had knee surgery it was important for her to have a walk-in shower and so I set to work replacing her bath with an Auqalisa Rise shower. This is a very special kind of shower, a pumped diverter shower with independent overhead rose and also a convenient hand-held attachment. It’s ideal for homes with low pressure, gravity fed hot water systems and delivers a vigorous, temperature stabilised shower. It’s only available through approved suppliers. The shower base is an extended quadrant – the ideal shape and size for this bathroom at 800 x 1000mm – big enough for a seat and handles but we are holding back on fitting these for now.
The rest of the specification included: provide a large vanity unit and replace everything else with new. Wall, tiles, flooring, towel ladder – the lot! I selected the Vanity unit from Illoti, it’s big and has a nice curved front. The tall wall unit that matches the Illoti base perfectly, it’s bespoke from 1stbathrooms. The wall tiles are from EMC Tiles, flooring is the latest range from Kudos, Tumbled Ochre, a tough, textured, warm and durable floor that’s also very easy to keep clean. Betty was so pleased with the results, she offered a lovely testimonial that you can read here.
